I would sure be nice if someone with the modder/programmer chops could track down and kill this bug. I suspect that the Fallout 4 Script Extender is over-extending scripts, causing log files or some such to fill to the CTD point. If you use F4SE, start the game without it. It depends on whether you use F4SE or not. It's a pain, but not nearly as bad as starting a new game. I'm not enough of a modder or programmer to fix it.
